Photographic Technician
The California Museum of Photography, part of the UCR ARTSblock, is offering an exciting opportunity to work with the world-famous Keystone-Mast Collection, the world’s largest collection of stereoscopic imagery.
Under supervision of the Curator of Collections, the Photographic Technician will digitize approximately 300 glass plate stereoscopic negatives from the Keystone-Mast Collection for use in a publication and exhibition.  This is a temporary, part-time position, through December 2014.
Minimum requirements:
Six months of training at a professional school of photography or six months experience with a professional photographer or commercial company as a scanning technician; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience working with glass-plate negatives
Experience editing and retouching photographs in Adobe Photoshop
Experience with flatbed scanners
Preferred qualifications:
Experience working with collections database systems
Experience with Epson flatbed scanners
