New Education Tags
Hi Everyone,
I’ve been struggling with my “paraprofessional (no MA required)” tag for a while, because I don’t think it always accurately reflects the requirements laid out in all job postings. Today, I’ve decided to move away from using that tag in favor of these:
Associate’s Degree
Second Master’s Degree (I have been using this one for some time.)
PhD (I have been using this one for some time.)
My plan is to tag each post with the lowest level of education specified in the job ad. If a job requires one degree as a baseline but lists a higher level of education as preferred, I will tag the posting with both types of degree. For example, if a job requires at least a Bachelor’s degree but lists a Master’s degree as a preferred qualification, I will tag it with both “Bachelor’s Degree,” and “Master’s Degree.”
I will no longer use the “paraprofessional (no MA required)” tag in job ads, but I will leave it active for historical purposes. I hope that this new system of tagging is more helpful to you. Let me know if you have any questions!
Best Regards,
Meredith
