Duties & Responsibilities
Physically process and arrange the material according to archival best practices; create an online finding aid using EAD/XML; consult regularly with the curator, and participate in any outreach activities related to the collection.

Basic Qualifications
•    Previous library or related work experience required.
•    Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite required.

Additional Qualifications
•    Master’s degree in library science/information science with a concentration in archives, or a master’s in archival studies required.
•    Strong communication and writing skills
•    Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail
•    Sensitivity to privacy issues and to the proper care and handling of archival materials
•    Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite
•    Ability to lift 40 pounds
•    Familiarity with standards for manuscript and archival description such as DACS and EAD
•    Experience with Archivists’ Toolkit or other collection management systems, preferred

Additional Information
This is a term appointment currently expected to extend through June 30, 2015, subject to funding and departmental need.
