Position Overview:

The Cataloging Archivist position will contribute to the success of the Corporate Archives through active involvement in the administration of the paper and artifact collection as well as the department’s exhibition program. This will include Archive space supervision, collections processing, data capture, and supervision of contractors, exhibit management and daily oversight of the digital asset management system.

Education:

Associate Degree, BA or equivalent educational degree required
Archival Certification by ACA preferred

Essential Job Functions:

Archives Collections Processing

Identify records through interviews, records retention program, and site surveys, for inclusion in the archives program
Accession and queue collections for future processing
Perform necessary conservation on physical archival materials to ensure long term preservation
Develop appropriate organizational methodologies for a variety of collection types
Develop finding aides and research files in on-line system
Perform environmental monitoring on archival vaults to ensure appropriate temperature and humidity levels

Exhibition Programs

Acts as curator for exhibition program development – must effectively tell The Coca-Cola Company story through variety of exhibit media
Experience in writing exhibit label copy
Manage third party vendors for design and delivery of exhibits
Ability to manage logistics, customs and shipping for international exhibitions

Archives System Management

Oversee on-line archival data management system and recommend enhancements and upgrades
Perform data capture including data integrity checks on digital assets, data entry on physical collections, scanning and digitally capturing physical assets
Perform searches on database to fulfill research requests
Perform functional monitoring on system including data cleanup
Performs system testing, responds to end-user issues, and oversees routine database administration tasks. Interfaces with I/S development team to clearly communicate system related issues.

Project Management & Supervision

Supervise contractors on various projects including preservation, data entry, collections processing, and research
Manage multiple inter-related projects simultaneously while maintaining all project deadlines.
Produces regular reports on progress and scheduled implementation on all projects to team members and management.
Acts as the liaison for internal and external clients, associates and suppliers. Develops appropriate communication tools as required to support project and presentations as necessary.
