Job Description
Our company specializes in providing offbeat and unusual footage for feature films, documentaries and commercial projects worldwide. This position is part time with quick advancement to full time work.
The ideal candidate is articulate, creative and focused with an interest or background in history, film and popular culture. We are looking to train and develop a uniquely qualified person that matches our company’s mission of consummately connecting media producers with eclectic media.
Responsibilities
• Research and compilation of multi format media materials (film, videotape, digital files)
• Database management and archiving
• Client interaction and correspondence
• Technical systems configuration and troubleshooting
Requirements
• A working knowledge of Filemaker Pro or comparable databases
• A working knowledge of MSWord, Excel, Mac OSX operating systems and data backup procedures.
Useful Skills
• Computer and video hardware and software configuration and troubleshooting experience
• Knowledge of historical events and use of stock footage in documentary, commercial broadcast and web based programming
• An understanding of 16mm film and analog video equipment, digital software and editing tools
• Web and IT experience
Pluses include sales experience with the capacity to educate and work with clients on large-scale projects. It’s also a plus if you have a working knowledge of Final Cut Pro, but training can be provided if you’re the right candidate.
