Job Description (if URL to posting not available): The Learning for Living Institute® is one of the few nationally-oriented nonprofits dedicated to creating and facilitating cutting-edge Life Success Skills Programs for college-age young adults. Located in downtown Boulder, the Learning for Living Institute® is a small, fast-growing organization composed of a dedicated group of collaborative employees and independent contractors.
“Learning for Living® is a truly unique organization. Its mission is essential: to help young people attain the fundamental skills they need to succeed in the 21st century. Learning for Living® stands to make a vital difference to both our young people and our communities.”
– Claudine Schneider, Former U.S. Congresswoman
The Learning for Living Institute® is looking for an experienced, professional archivist to guide and help structure our library of knowledge and information (research articles, book summaries, statistics, descriptions of people and organizations, research, etc.) into paper, computer and cloud database files readily accessible for our team of program developers, facilitators, evaluators, and marketers of life success skills programs for college-age young people.
This Independent Contractor position is part-time and flexible. Tasks would include:
– Reviewing our controlled vocabulary or metadata tags describing the information contained in our company file cabinets, computers, and cloud databases, assessing its capacity to be clear, and avoid murkiness, duplication and gaps, and recommending improvements which would make it more easily accessible to its users.
– Working with us to choose and edit the key words we use to identify our different topics.
– Offering recommendations and perhaps help in building an internal, password protected, cloud database to access this information in the most efficient, user-friendly way.
This is a collaborative position for a person who has experience and enjoys working with educational and/or psychological content. Working from a remote location is certainly doable. If successful, follow-up projects are scheduled for future work. If interested and experienced, please send your cover letter and resume to:
