Job Description (if URL to posting not available): Do you want to gain professional museum experience while working in an area where you can see many of the preeminent tourist attractions in the United States? If so, then an internship with the Museum of Northern Arizona (MNA) is for you. AAM accredited, MNA is located in Flagstaff, AZ – a mountain town with lovely summer weather, numerous hiking trails, and close proximity to national forests and such natural and man-made wonders as the Grand Canyon, Grand Falls, Wupatki and Walnut Canyon National Monuments, and Meteor and Sunset Craters. Flagstaff is also home to the Lowell Observatory (where Pluto was first observed) and a gorgeous Arboretum. You will also be here for MNA’s internationally-known Heritage Festivals which introduce people to the exquisite artistry of the Navajo, Hopi, and Zuni peoples.

Position Description: The Archives Intern reports to the Archivist and will focus on tasks relating to the organization, documentation, and preservation of the Museum of Northern Arizona institutional archives & manuscript collections and all media contained within (textual documents, photographs, moving images, etc.). As assigned this position will be responsible for processing and appraising collections, grant-funded rehousing projects, and assisting with research requests.
