II. Description of Required Services
The Archives of American Art, Smithsonian Institution, has a need for contract professional archival services to re-house and assess motion picture film found within collections at its Washington, D.C. storage area and offices at 750 9th Street, N.W. A Firm Fixed Price, Requirements type award is contemplated for 2080 hours of services at an hourly rate of $33.00 which is equivalent to a GS 9, Step 1 level with a 29.5% add-on to compensate for benefits. The contractor is expected to work 35-40 hours per week over a 14-15 month project period to end no later than September 30, 2017. This schedule factors in an allowance for 13 sick and 13 annual leave days, and 10 holidays.
The contractor will submit a bi-weekly (twice a month) record of time worked, a monthly narrative report, and a monthly invoice to the Archives. Work will be completed in strict accordance with the attached Statement of Work.
The selected contractor is expected to be a trained professional archivist with substantial specialized training in handling, inspecting, and documenting motion picture film. The contractor must be self-motivated, able to work independently, and meet measureable goals and time frames. AAA does not expect to contract with trainees.
