Madison, WI: Paid Records Management Intern, Wisconsin Division of Employment & Training

RECORDS MANAGEMENT INTERN

Downtown Madison

Flexible hours!

In this newly created Records Management Intern position, you will work with the Division of Employment and Training (DET) on a Records Disposition Authorization (RDA) implementation project. This project focuses on three components of the management of DET’s records, which include cleaning up the shared and individual drives and updating the Workforce Contingency Application (WCA). Guidance and supervision will be provided by the Records Management team.

The goals of the internship include:

  1. Decrease the number of unnecessary files on DWD’s file servers through removal of duplicates and files which have met their retention.
  2. Removal of files from staff H:// (individual) drives so that DWD records are available for sharing and collaboration on the S:// (shared) drive.
  3. Creation of file structure based on records schedules allowing for the simplified and continued management of DET records.
  4. Continuity of Operations/Records Emergency Action Plan compliance – populating WCA with official records location ensures that DET is able to resume operations quickly if there is an incident that impacts DWD’s operations.

Well-qualified applicants will have formal education in Information Studies, Library and Information Studies or comparable training/experience.
