Job Description (if URL to posting not available). Please include instructions for how to apply.: Evanston-based Rotary International seeks a creative and tech-savvy Archives Specialist to join the Heritage Communications team in the Communications and Marketing area.
The Heritage Communications team educates and inspires our audiences by leveraging Rotary’s heritage assets to tell its past, present, and future story; serves as an informational resource for Rotary members and staff; and preserves Rotary’s history and legacy by building and maintaining a robust archives that reflects our long history of community and youth service, global peace and conflict resolution, polio eradication, and more.
You will focus on the management and preservation of still image and video assets – analog, digitized, and born-digital. In addition, you will support our efforts to tell Rotary’s story through research services and content development. You should be experienced with all aspects of archives work, but especially with photo and video. This position will have a heavy focus on enterprise digital asset management. While you will work with photo and video assets in the archives, you will also work closely with staff in other departments to ensure seamless transfer of relevant assets and easy search and retrieval by creative and marketing teams, and our Rotary members around the world.
