Job Description (if URL to posting not available). Please include instructions for how to apply.: The position is the Family History and Archives Consultant/Archivist and is located in downtown Louisville.

The position as a archivist/consultant will mostly involve finishing the organization and inventory of the physical collections, which is mostly photographic material at this point. It will also include some scanning and organization of those digital copies. Finally, it will also include management of the website (https://schubert-family-history.squarespace.com/) I have started to present the scanned materials and also the family history MyHeritage page that I have also been working on to document the family biographical history.

The position is very flexible and would work well with a student’s schedule, it is generally anywhere between 15-30 hours a week depending on personal preference, and will probably start out at $10-12/hour. Further, there is some ability to complete some of the work at home during the weekly schedule. The position can also include some benefits like paid vacation time, these will be further discussed with the owner of the collections. It also includes a personal office space. I have already begun purchasing most of the necessary supplies such as technology and other needs. Finally, the early part of the position will also allow for some training from myself and the new person will be able to contact me with any question or concerns going forward in the position.

Interested candidates should contact me at molockard@gmail.com with resumes and cover letters.
