Please include instructions for how to apply.: Reporting to the Head of Special Collections and Archives (SPCA), the Rare Books Librarian is responsible for building and maintaining the rare book and map collections, including selection, cataloging, organization, and preservation. The Rare Books Librarian interprets and promotes the collection by designing and leading instruction sessions utilizing the book and map collections and through digital and physical exhibitions and social media. As a member of a collegial team, the Rare Books Librarian provides support for departmental activities, including providing researcher assistance and access to all SPCA collections in physical and electronic form, sharing reading room supervision duties, and other responsibilities and activities as scheduled, including some evenings and weekends.
