Please include instructions for how to apply.: The Digital Projects unit of the University Library is seeking to hire a Library Technical Assistant to perform digitization of the M.H. Ross Papers. This is a one-year, grant-funded position that reports to the Digital Projects Coordinator.
The M.H. Ross Papers is a 52-linear foot archival collection that contains a diverse array of material types, including paper, photographs, and audiovisual media. Duties will include organizing collection materials for digitization, scanning paper and photographic materials, performing image treatment (cropping/de-skewing) on scanned images, and digitizing audio and video tapes (primarily audio cassettes).
The ideal candidate will have the ability to pay close attention to detail, the ability to successfully meet deadlines, good oral communication skills, and the ability to quickly learn new technologies.
