Compensation:
$13 per hour

Schedule:
15 hours per week for 17.5 weeks (268 hours total)
Flexible hours Wednesday through Sunday, between 9 AM and 5 PM

Reports to:
LA&M Archivist and Collections Librarian

Job Description:
The Leather Archives & Museum is seeking an intern to assist with the transition to a new collections management system using CollectiveAccess. The intern will assist with the revision and import of museum, archival, and library data and related taxonomies. They will also help the archivist to create, test, and document workflows related to cataloging and collections management. Other tasks may include image processing and web design depending on skills and experience.

This project is supported by the Illinois Historical Records Board. All hours must be completed by the end of June 2018.

Qualifications:
• Strong communication skills
• Highly organized and detail oriented
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and data manipulation
• Experience applying archival processing and cataloging standards (DACS, MARCXML, or other)
• Experience using CollectiveAccess or a similar collections management system (preferred)
• Some experience in MySQL, PHP, web design, or image processing (preferred)
• Ability to sit and perform repetitive motion activities using a keyboard and monitor for long periods of time.
