Oversees day-to-day functions of Multicom’s film/tape vault operations and media capture facility.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Oversee day-to-day operations including element identification and inventory, inbound and outbound movement of materials, and proper storage of assets.
• Help to determine policy/procedure for effectively utilizing vault space and resources.
• Maintain established records for material movement and shipment of elements.
• Monitor utilization of vault space and resources.
• Monitor vault environment to ensure proper conditions for asset storage and preservation are maintained.
• Movement of physical assets per Geographical Separation Policy.
• Regularly report critical metrics to Operations Director.
• Work closely with the Operations Director and Manager to ensure constant flow of asset ingestion and digitization.
• Operate Film Scanner and Tape Decks for the purpose of digitization of film and TV.
• Create inventory reports for new acquisitions and operational requests.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in asset storage and preservation
• Minimum 5 years’ experience working in a film vault or entertainment asset library and 2 years’ management experience.
• Solid understanding of the storage, maintenance and preservation of film, videotape and data assets, including but not limited to: Knowledge of film origin, stocks, picture and sound element hierarchy.
• Physical Storage (environmental conditions, efficient use of space, etc.)
• Understanding of inventory data and industry nomenclature.
• Familiarity with inventory tracking systems and processes.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and inventory management applications. (Inventrack knowledge and experience appreciated)
