Special Collections Manager
GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The Vigo County Public Library in Terre Haute, IN, currently has a full-time non-exempt position available for the leadership position of Special Collections Manager. This management position requires an Indiana Librarian Certification of LC3 or higher with a MLS or MLIS Degree. The Special Collections Manager is responsible for the overall management of Special Collections (SPC) in support of the goals and objectives of the VCPL. Management of SPC includes establishing and implementing priorities for the development, acquisition, maintenance, accessibility, promotion, description, and condition of collections, including genealogy in Vigo County and surroundings, Vigo County archival materials, Indiana and Vigo County historical materials, and other special materials. The SPC Manager also performs research and reference services using these collections. The SPC Manager supervises Special Collections staff and workflows, providing leadership through policy recommendation, long-range planning, team-building and professional management strategies in direct support of the Director of Technology and Special Services and the VCPL.
SALARY/BENEFITS:
Job Class 3, full-time non-exempt position. Rate of pay is $19.2309 per hour, which is equivalent to an annualized salary of $40,200.22 ($1,538.47 bi-weekly in 2018) based on two 40 hour workweeks
