Salary Range:
$47,000 annually plus the State of Tennessee benefits package.

Summary: Provides research assistance to patrons in the Manuscripts and Microfilm units of the Public Services Section. Assists the General Assembly, staff, and the public in person, in writing, via email, telephone, and online chat by answering reference questions from simple to moderate complexity. Fosters a public service environment by connecting the Tennessee State Library & Archives’ vast historical collections with the public. This requires assisting patrons with the use of the library catalog, specialized indices, finding aids, reference tools, and other resources, suggesting research strategies and sources to patrons, retrieving reference and original archival materials, and preparing clear, coherent written and oral responses to inquiries.
