We the building architect for a large historic hotel in New York City. We have been secured to assist our client with cataloging, organizing, and storing existing building drawings dating back to the 1930s. They are currently not well organized and stored improperly. Our current scope of work is to review existing materials and create a system for how the drawings will be organized and stored for both archival purposes and use with current construction/renovation projects. There are a few other historic items we would like to include in our study. This initial gig is short term and relates only to creating the system to be later implemented. Working closely with us, the successful candidate’s deliverable will be a written document of the proposed system to be included in our final report. Once approved by the hotel, we would likely move to the implementation stage during which the actual cataloging and archiving will take place. We have a budget of $2,400 for this initial task.
