The Archives of American Art is seeking an independent contractor for an estimated 732-hour project in the Archives Oral History Program to work with interviews in the New Deal and the Arts Oral History Project, the Archives’ first large-scale oral history collecting initiative conducted between 1963–1965.

The contractor will audit and edit vendor created oral history transcripts, compare the new transcripts to existing transcripts and incorporate handwritten edits, confirm the spelling of proper names and research as needed, prepare and publish the transcripts to the Archives’ website via Drupal, and update collection information in Archives Space (ASpace) and the Archives’ Collection Information System (CIS).

Questions are due by 4:00pm on Thursday, November 2, 2023.
Quotes are due by 4:00p.m. on Thursday, November 9, 2023.
