The state-of-the-art National Comedy Center was recently named the “Best New Museum” in the country by USA Today and one of the “World’s Greatest Places” by TIME magazine.
The Archives and Exhibits Intern will assist in developing and installing new exhibits and supporting ongoing research and preservation initiatives.
Remote internships, as well as partial remote/on-site arrangements, will be considered for 2024. Ability to be onsite for our annual Lucille Ball comedy Festival in early August is highly preferred.

– Must be an undergraduate or MA student pursuing a career in museum studies, archives, history, or a related field.
– Must be versed in/interested in the history of comedy (Please convey any area specialties within your application).
– Advanced knowledge of archival handling and processing techniques is an asset but not a requirement.
– Interns must commit to at least 15-20 hours per week. Hours are flexible.
– All interns must complete at least 4 hours each week on the National Comedy Center floor to learn how the attraction operates, interact with visitors, and increase their comedy knowledge.
– During the week before and the week of the Lucille Ball Comedy Festival in August, hours may increase to full time but remain flexible (each intern will coordinate their schedule with supervisor).
