The Smithsonian Anacostia Community Museum (ACM) has a need to procure professional archival services from several contractors (each working up to 1040 hours) to process approximately 60 archival collections totaling approximately 300 linear feet, along with item-level cataloguing of content including photographs, documents, and audiovisual materials. The scope of work includes archival preservation, arrangement, and description of collections according to professional and current archival standards, best practices, as well as ACM’s internal policies, procedures, guidelines, and established workflows. Processing work will include the production of high quality DACS (Describing Archives: A Content Standard) finding aids ready to be deployed on the Smithsonian’s Online Virtual Archives (SOVA).
