The Information Management Archivist coordinates indexing, digitizing, and crowdsourcing projects for the State Archives. This position performs advanced level archival duties in the areas of digitization, describing historical records, referencing archival materials, and training others to use digital resources. The Information Management Archivist supervises a small staff of archivists who digitize and index materials, make updates to the website, and occasionally created social media content. The Information Management Archivist identifies training needs of various audiences and develops or modifies training materials to meet those needs. They also provide outreach to the public through speaking engagements to historical, civic, and professional organizations.
