Freelance opportunity for an iSchool graduate, graduate student, or intern. The job is located in Winnetka, IL. David Plowden has been a professional photographer since the 1950’s and is still producing new work from his negatives. His website is http://www.davidplowden.com. As you will see he has created numerous books, exhibitions, writings, and magazine articles. His work is collected internationally and is in numerous museum or private collections.
This would be a paid self-employed job that would last as long as the project took to complete and pay is to be negotiated with flexible hours. We need to assess the collection, organize the material, and prepare a useful description and inventory for submitting to interested institutions. It’s a very large collection consisting of many boxes of negatives, boxes of prints (silver gelatin and archival inkjet), paper documents, manuscripts, books, and more.
