Crownsville Hospital Archives Project:
A Historical Documentation and Storytelling Project

Be part of the team that will create and curate the official Crownsville Hospital Historic Archives, gather & process Oral Histories, make the physical and digital Archives publicly accessible, and help preserve and bear witness to the complicated story of the Crownsville Hospital.

The Office of Planning & Zoning seeks a Project Manager/ Lead Archivist to implement a grant awarded by the National Historical Publications and Records Commission. The hire will collect, document, and index available historical and archival information, and related artifacts and ephemera, for posterity, public access and research purposes, and they will gather insights and stories from former employees, residents, and patients at Crownsville, including their oral histories and documentation as available.

Position is contractual, with an option to renew annually for the duration of the three-year grant. Work will be primarily based out of the Annapolis, MD area.
