The Archives & Records Management interns will engage in tasks related to digital asset management which will give them insight to our internal document repositories. They will aid in the absorption and understanding of new digitization standards given to us by NASA and the National Archives and participate in the development of new workflows to adhere to these standards. The intern will complete metadata updates for existing digital assets and learn new AV digitization information alongside staff. There will be opportunity to learn digitization workflows for both photo negatives and permanent paper records. The intern will also have an opportunity to learn existing protocols for responding to records storage requests, research requests, granting them a well-rounded understanding of how archives and records management work together at JPL.
