The NEH oral history grant, Flannery O’Connor and Milledgeville: Collecting the Past seeks a Project Coordinator to support the Project Co-Directors in daily activities through January 2026. This part-time position includes facilitating logistics of workshops, interviews, program evaluations, and a fall symposium; assisting with archiving oral histories; developing and maintaining a streaming schedule for podcasts post-production; and promoting grant activities on social media.
The project coordinator will support the grant team in the final year of activities. This role will work part time from May 2025-January 2026 and the anticipated pay is $25/hour for 19 hours a week. Job duties include:
40% Administrative tasks (correspondence with on campus and off campus partners, budget and expenditures, website maintenance)
20% Social media (Facebook, Instagram, Youtube, Spotify, Linktree)
20% Event planning and logistics (fall symposium, conference presentations)
10% Podcast production (adding brand elements to pre-recorded interviews, oversee transcription and editing, post to social media channels)
10% Coordinating with archival processing team and student workers
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
Other Required Qualifications
Effective communication and willingness to learn. Familiarity with Microsoft Teams and Office Suite.
Required Experience
Experience with social media and administrative tasks required.
Preferred Qualifications
Additional Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of graphic design, audio editing, and digital storage software.
Preferred Experience
Experience working on grant activities preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
KNOWLEDGE
Digital file storage and organization, best practices of informed consent, and general knowledge of Milledgeville/Baldwin County.
