This librarian will oversee rare and historical collections across the Redlands, LA/Burbank, and Bay Area campuses, collaborating with faculty and students to incorporate primary source materials into teaching and research. Special Collections span a wide range of subjects, with particular strengths in regional histories, rare books of local significance, and materials documenting the history of each campus. This position may involve occasional travel among University of Redlands campuses.
In addition to managing archival collections, this faculty librarian will serve as a subject liaison to designated academic programs, providing instruction, research support, and outreach. The role involves engaging students, colleagues, and the campus in both traditional and emerging models for Archives & Special Collections. We welcome both early-career and experienced librarians to help build what comes next through thoughtful innovation, collaboration, and a commitment to meaningful, forward-looking work. As the University of Redlands is a HSI, the ideal candidate will be committed to stewardship of resources and the development of activities that improve our servingness to all student communities at the University.
