Your Mission, Should You Choose to Accept It

Explore and Assess: Conduct comprehensive on-site evaluations using industry best practices, combining staff interviews, environmental assessments, and collection reviews

Analyze and Strategize: Transform your observations into actionable, prioritized recommendations tailored to each institution’s budget, timeline, and capacity

Guide and Support: Develop custom roadmaps that help institutions strengthen their preservation infrastructure and staff competencies

Follow Through: Maintain ongoing relationships to ensure recommendations lead to lasting improvements in collections care

What We’re Looking For

Education & Experience:

Master’s degree in Library and Information Science with archival specialization (or equivalent experience)
Minimum 2 years in archival settings, preferably with an arrangement and description focus
Experience with small archival organizations or historical societies is highly valued (volunteer experience counts!)

Essential Skills:

Exceptional communication abilities – you’ll be the friendly face of preservation expertise
Tech-savvy with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Google Suite, and Zoom
Deep understanding of archival management principles
Hands-on experience with archival facilities and collection management
Natural ability to juggle multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail
Collaborative spirit with proven relationship-building skills
Intellectual curiosity and commitment to professional growth
