The International Tennis Hall of Fame (ITHF), an AAM-accredited organization and a Smithsonian Affiliate in Newport, Rhode Island, seeks a Collections Care and Research Specialist. This position is responsible for general care of museum collection materials (including artifacts, library, archives, photographic archives, and audiovisual materials), developing exhibit content, assisting in digitization projects as needed, and managing internal and external research requests.
The Collections Care and Research Specialist will join and work alongside the Museum’s Curator of Collections, Collections Manager, and Digitization & Technology Manager daily. They will also be a member of the ITHF’s larger Content Team (which includes marketing, public relations, social media, and website, along with elements of public events, retail, and partnerships). The successful candidate will also collaborate with the ITHF’s Vice President of Strategic Initiatives and Industry Relations on the Hall of Fame induction process research.
