The California State Archives is recruiting Imaging Technicians. Imaging Technicians operate scanning, photographic, and audiovisual equipment to digitize original textual records, bound volumes, and analog AV formats to create digital surrogates for patron requests, exhibits, online access, and for other State Archives’ needs. Imaging Technicians conduct quality control checks, create structural metadata, and work closely with archivists to plan and execute exhibit creation, patron requests, and occasional large-scale digitization projects. Imaging Technicians also format and print exhibit facsimiles, posters, and signs, and are responsible for monitoring and maintaining Imaging Lab equipment.
