McNeese State University invites qualified applicants to apply for the position of Special Collections Librarian /Assistant Professor in the Frazar Memorial Library. This is a full-time, 12-month, unclassified position. The appointment is available immediately.
The Special Collections Librarian reports to the Head of Archives & Special Collections. The Special Collections Librarian provides leadership for planning, implementing, and managing all aspects of both the Federal Depository Library collection and the Louisiana Public Documents Depository collection. The Special Collections Librarian also processes archival collections and maintains the rare books collections. The Special Collections Librarian provides reference and information services to the public in both the Government Information and Archives & Special Collections Departments.
