The Digital Acquisition Services Archivist position will communicate with state agencies, local governments, and private donors to identify, appraise, acquire, and accession digital archival/historcial records and facilitate public records access. This position is responsible for writing and running scripts to package digital records for ingest into the Preservica preservation system. The digital acquisitions archivist also works with the collectrions services digital acrhivist to maintain, troubleshoot, and resolve system issues in Preservica. This position works on a team to implement and migrate to the ArchiveSpace collections management system. The digital acquisition archivist also participates in fieldwork projects, provide reference services for the public, and serve on archives cross- unit teams. This position requires demonstrated technical skills, digital preservation knowledge, and understanding of archival principles and the records lifecycle.
