The Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) Libraries seeks a Project Archivist to join the RIT Archives in support of Breaking (Sound) Barriers: Enhancing Description and Access to Deaf Heritage Collections, a NEH-funded initiative that expands access to materials in the Deaf Studies, Culture, and History Archives (DSA).
The Project Archivist will arrange, describe, and digitize key archival collections documenting Deaf history, art, activism, and technology; enhance finding aids; and contribute to more inclusive and accurate representation of Deaf and Deaf-related communities in archival description.
This is an 18-month, full-time (40 hours/week), on-site position based in RIT Archives, located in the Wallace Library. The pay for this position is $28/hour.
