The New York Historical is currently accepting applications for 2026-2027 Fellowships. Scholars at all stages of their career are invited to use the collections of The New York Historical to expand their scholarship using our world-class collections. Our unique fellowship program provides scholars with resources and an intellectual community to develop new research and publications.
Available positions:
Mellon Foundation Predoctoral Awards in Women’s History
Helen and Robert Appel Fellowship in History and Technology
Robert David Lion Gardiner Foundation / Mellon Foundation Fellowship
Library Fellowships run from September 9, 2026 through July 2, 2027; Fellowships in the Center for Women’s History run September 9, 2026, through August 27, 2027.
