The Robert Rauschenberg Foundation (RRF) is seeking an Archivist to provide leadership and management in the creation of RRF’s first formal archive since the transfer of all property to the Foundation.  Additionally, the Archivist should establish a vision and plan to increase use of the archives and support for scholars, students and curators toward scholarship of Rauschenberg and his contemporaries.

New York, NY: Internship, David Yurman Jewelers

David Yurman Jewelers is seeking qualified interns for the archive department.

Duties include scanning all drawings and illustrations in the design department, researching and organizing David Yurman’s original drawing collection, and tagging metadata to all drawings in our in-house database.

Intern will be paid and must work from 10am – 6pm. Internship will last approximately 4-5 months (or when job is finished).

Those applying must have excellent writing skills, highly developed organizational abilities and in depth knowledge in processing visual material and creating finding aids.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting to the Head of Collections Management and working closely with the Director of Oral History, the successful candidate will be responsible for processing, arranging, and describing the Crossing Borders, Bridging Generations (CBBG) oral history collection according to established project procedures and best practices for in-house and online access. CBBG is an oral history project and public programming series that examines the history and experiences of mixed-heritage people and families, cultural hybridity, race, ethnicity, and identity in the historically diverse borough of Brooklyn (http://cbbg.brooklynhistory.org/)
