VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

Title:  Audio-Visual Archivist and Reference Librarian

The Pettus Archives and Dacus Library seek an innovative and engaged faculty member for a position with duties in our archives and our main library.  We seek an individual who is open to innovation and eager to take on the challenges of the changing library and archives environment.


Major Responsibilities:

–  Oversees and manages the Oral History collection, Oral History Project, and the Veterans’ History Project
–  Monitors environmental condition in Pettus
–  Assists Pettus researchers
–  Assists with exhibits
–  Provides Sunday/Thursday reference desk in Dacus Library
–  Teaching in the information literacy program

Qualifications:
Required
Master’s Degree from an American Library Association accredited program, or a Master’s degree in History or Public History and at least six months or archival experience.

Desired
Twelve or more months working as an archivist in museum or archive

Employment Conditions:
A full-time, twelve month non-tenure track position.  Salary Commensurate with experience and qualifications
