Position Description
Serves as the subject expert in administrative operations of FIRMA, the Federal Reserve Board s electronic recordkeeping system. Oversees operational enhancements to the section’s electronic systems and procedures. Directs one or more the section’s crucial records processing functions. Performs complex analytical tasks associated with processing and managing Board records. When appropriate, manages special projects for the section’s top-level supervisor. This includes organizing and leading Non-Exempt staff in completing records processing assignments. Trains Board staff in records management procedures and the use of FIRMA. Provides reference services for Board and FOMC records to Federal Reserve System staff and visiting scholars.
Position Requirements
Qualified candidates must demonstrate the ability to understand, interpret and apply federal records management laws and regulations in diverse program areas at the Board. Must also be able to integrate concepts from related fields, such as project management and electronic information management, to evaluate and advise Board staff on the proper management of records. Records management, document management, library, or archival experience preferred. Experience using collaboration tools, developing web-based training products, or business process analysis a plus. The successful candidate will be able to handle multiple tasks and competing priorities. Must also demonstrate team leadership skills and sensitivity to organizational relationships
Knowledge level is typically achieved through the completion of a bachelor’s degree and one year of experience. Highly effective interpersonal, oral, and written communications skills and a strong customer service orientation are also required. Experience with SharePoint and project management is desirable. Qualified candidates will be required to submit their last two performance evaluations, complete a written exercise and to submit examples of previous written work.
