Qatar National Library seeks a visionary leader, adept at both strategy and operations, to serve as the director of the Distinctive Collections which include all heritage material of rare manuscripts, books, photographs, maps, 3D objects, and archival documents.
Essential responsibilities include the overall management and development of collections, conservation, exhibitions and programs.
The ideal candidate must possess a combination of professional education and progressive management experience in special and rare books collections related to the Middle East and Islamic history as well as strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide effective oversight of a professional staff, research operation and budget.
