Please include instructions for how to apply.: The Montana Historical Society is pleased to announce an internship opportunity for the summer of 2018. This internship opportunity involves the appraisal, processing, and cataloging of records documenting the life of military officer (Spanish American War, WWI), State Department ambassador to Scotland and China; and Highway Department Chief of Right of Way (Montana), Alexander Grant Swaney (1896-1987). The collection includes autobiographical and family history writings, correspondence, and photo albums. Collection also includes materials from his daughter Alexandra Swaney (1944-2017) who was a musician, writer, activist and folklorist in Montana. This is a paid internship ($5,000) consisting of 400 hours, completed over the summer of 2018 (June to September).
