Our best-known projects include The Getty Center in Los Angeles, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Barcelona, the High Museum in Atlanta and the Jubilee Church in Rome. We are seeking an experienced Archivist & Administrative Assistant to care for the collection and assist with office administration.

Position Description: The archive includes 65 years of institutional records, architectural drawings, models, sketches, and photographs in both paper and digital format. In this dual role, the successful candidate will manage all activities related to the organization, preservation and storage of the archive and provide administrative support. The candidate will also conduct occasional tours at a gallery space in Jersey City.

Essential Duties:

• Manage all outgoing loans of works in the collection
• Provide tours for students and guests at offsite gallery
• Update inventories of books, awards, and lectures
• Answer all external and internal research requests
• Maintain digital archive on server, scan drawings and images
• Arrange document storage and retrieval

Administrative Support
• Front desk reception, greet guests, and answer calls
• Provide administrative support to the Executive team
• Assist Communications department with publications
• Additional office support duties as needed

• BA or MA (preferred) in Art History, Museum Studies, or Library Science
• Minimum of 3 years related experience and preference for gallery, museum, or architecture office experience
• Background or demonstrated interest in art and architecture
• Excellent computer skills (Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook)
• Knowledge of Adobe InDesign and Photoshop a Plus
• Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently
• Periodic evening and weekend hours will be required for events and scheduling
• Comfortable with public speaking and presenting to large groups
