Please include instructions for how to apply.: Bryn Mawr College Library and Information Technology Services is seeking a Digital Collection Project Technician to assist with work on the In Her Own Right project, a multi-institution effort to digitize, contextualize, and build an aggregator for content on the history of women’s activism in the Philadelphia region. Bryn Mawr’s contribution to the project involves the correspondence between two prominent women activists in the 1880s and 1890s, which has recently been digitized.

The Digital Collection Project Technician will perform quality control and editing of the digital images; create metadata and enhance finding aids; oversee the work of undergraduate students working on the project; and write blog and social media posts about the project.

The position will be based in the Special Collections Department, and will also work closely with the Digital Collections and Metadata Librarian.

Qualifications: Detailed-oriented, familiarity with computer and software applications, and interest in working with historical collections. Preferred: experience with Adobe Photoshop and Bridge, and familiarity with metadata standards, such as Dublin Core.

Position available June 1 and is funded through the end of September 2019. Flexible hours, up to 20-35 hours/week.

Rate of Pay: $18/hour
