Please include instructions for how to apply.: Greenhouse Studios, in partnership with the University of Connecticut School of Fine Arts, is pleased to announce two funded M.F.A. studentships in Digital Media & Design. The studentships will provide full tuition, health benefits, and a half-time graduate research assistantship with Greenhouse Studios | Scholarly Communications Design at UConn. Greenhouse Studios Graduate Assistants provide artistic, design, creative expression, and technical implementation assistance to Greenhouse Studios projects. Working in a dynamic, team environment alongside faculty, library, editor, and student colleagues, graduate assistants contribute to the production of collaborative multimedia research objects. Greenhouse Studios Graduate Research Assistants work alongside scholars, archivists, librarians, technologists, and more as collaborators on projects that often heavily involve the university’s rich archives & special collections. Many of our students are often doing research that might either draw from the archive, help contextualize records within the archive, or might contribute to a specific collection. The degree itself offers ample opportunity to work on digital humanities projects among faculty who are deeply seeded in the field, while also delving into the technical and creative curriculum of the Digital Media and Design MFA.

Please apply by January 11, 2020. Applicants must select Digital Media & Design in the application, and specify intent for the Greenhouse Studios Studentship in the cover letter. Portfolios need not be composed entirely (or mainly) of artwork. Academic writing, poetry, code, websites, and the like are all acceptable, as we welcome all kinds of talented people to UConn Digital Media & Design and Greenhouse Studios!
