Please include instructions for how to apply.: Intern will work under the supervision of the Chaco Culture National Historical Park Archivist and Project Archivist on two main projects: assist with processing and cataloging cultural resources records and donated collections related to Chaco Culture NHP and San Juan Island NHS and digitize and create metadata for various park photograph collections. Other duties include: assisting with research requests; preparation of photographic materials for cold storage; environmental monitoring/IPM/museum housekeeping; archival catalog data correction and improvement in the Interior Collections Management System (ICMS); and assisting with the evolving digital preservation program. Intern will be treated as a member of the NPS staff and included in meetings and other day-to-day operational activities in order to gain a better understanding of cultural resources management work in a Federal context.

The Chaco Culture NHP Museum Program curatorial facility is located in the Hibben Center for Archaeological Study on the University of New Mexico campus in Albuquerque, NM. The UNM Museum Studies Program offices and the Maxwell Museum of Anthropology share the building.
