Private artist studio in New York is seeking a bilingual (English and Chinese) assistant to support ongoing archives projects and research. The assistant will support the Archives & Collections team in the collection of bibliographic data, perform research into the artist’s exhibition history, complete data entry in a FileMaker database, and digitize archival materials including slides, photographic prints, and ephemera.

Required:
Fluent in Chinese
Bachelor’s degree
Experience working in a museum, arts, archive, or library setting
Preferred:
MLIS / MA in Art History or related subject or equivalent (current students welcome to apply)
Knowledge of archival digitization and metadata standards
Working knowledge of FileMaker software
Working knowledge of CollectiveAccess software
Experience using and applying the Chicago Manual of Style
This is a full-time position with benefits including paid vacation, 401(k) plan, and health insurance.
Flexible scheduling and hybrid/work from home options will be available after a trial period. Initial interviews will be conducted via Zoom. Salary commensurate with experience.
