The Archives Supervisor oversees the physical and digital archives to support internal departments and marketing initiatives.


Supervises and schedules the Archivists who catalog, store and preserve the studio’s physical assets, which include stop-motion puppets, props, sets, maquettes, original art and more.
Leads efforts with production to schedule transfer of assets from stages.
Collaborates with Archive and Media Services Manager to refine and enforce physical and digital archives policies
Creates a project plan for systematic review of all physical assets to assess condition, optimize storage, ensure accurate cataloging, etc.
Supports Archivists in marketing initiatives such as events, installations, and consumer products.
Manages collection of born-digital assets for marketing such as domestic and international trailers, tv spots and promotional reels, feature films and related elements in physical and digital formats.
Works with Media Services Supervisor to distribute assets.
Provides regular feedback to Archivists on day-to-day goals, needs, productivity and roadblocks.
Partners with Marketing Production manager to devise and implement on our exhibition strategy and requirements.
Acts as the main point of contact for third party off site storage facility.


5+ years in a lead or senior Archivist role, particularly one dealing with fragile and irreplaceable physical assets.
Proven ability to supervise teams in a fast-paced, dynamic entertainment environment, preferred.
Knowledge of professional principles, practices and procedures related to library/archive services and their preservation and presentation of materials.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with a wide range of positions from vendors and curators to assistants and executives.
Exceptional attention to detail; strong skills in project management and customer service.
Experience with born-digital assets.
