Southwestern Law School is currently celebrating its 110th year. The Leigh H Taylor library is housed within the national, state, and local historic landmark Bullock’s Wilshire building. The successful candidate will be processing collections dealing with law, fashion, architecture, the art deco movement, and education. The three main collections to be processed and curated are:
• The 100+ years of Southwestern Law School, from its beginning as an evening college with a diverse student body to a stand-alone law school with a continued commitment to diversity.
• The Bullocks Wilshire Building, an important art deco masterpiece, including its renovation and repurposing of the building from a department store to a school.
• The Bullock’s Wilshire Store as a cultural time stamp of Los Angeles, Hollywood, and fashion.
