The Friends of the Archive (FOA) Internship is a paid experience, up to 300 hours at $15/hr., designed to expose, engage, and educate aspiring professionals by giving them tangible, real-world experience within North Carolina’s Division of Archives & Records. The intern will work at the State Archives on a specific project throughout the summer and collaborate with staff by participating in meetings and assignments as necessary. The internship will conclude with products such as blog posts, presentations, exhibits, finding aids, etc. Ultimately, the intern will work with historic materials, technological tools, and experienced staff to develop innovative resources and enhance access to the State Archives’ collection of over 100 million records.
