We are looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented, and passionate Archives Specialist to join our team for a truly unique and special project.
As a vital part of our initiative, you will help preserve, catalog, and pack one-of-a-kind artifacts and materials of immense cultural and historical significance from all around the world.
This is a temporary, on-site role in Midtown Atlanta, Georgia, with an expected end date of February 2026.
Pay Rate: 25$/hour, no benefits
DUTIES:
– Work directly with the customer’s archival object collection.
– Catalog and create item-level metadata for objects in a database, following the
customer’s specifications.
– Carefully pack and secure artifacts using archival materials, preparing them for safe
transit.
– Maintain meticulous inventory records to track objects throughout the packing and
shipping process
Qualifications:
– Previous experience working with archival collections, particularly rare or delicate
materials, or must hold a degree in Archival Studies or a related field.
– Excellent organizational skills with a strong attention to detail.
– Strong written and verbal communication skills.
– Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
– Ability to stand, walk, and move boxes in a confined warehouse environment.
