DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The CAVC librarian/JRO reports directly to the Deputy Executive Officer and serves all Judges, the Clerk of the Court, and all Court staff. The tasks performed vary daily and cover a broad range of library functions including technical and research services for the Court, overseeing all library operations, as well as managing the chambers’ collections and subscriptions. The librarian/JRO independently makes decisions based on thorough knowledge of the profession and the library’s policies, practices, and judicial needs. The Librarian/JRO plans and manages the CAVC Records Management Program (CAVC RMP) in accordance with the Federal Records Act, as implemented by federal courts and overseen by the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA).
