Strataegius LLC is seeking a Supervisory Archivist to support its proposed team for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Historical Support Services BPA.
Location: Remote/Hybrid — U.S.-based. Candidates must be available for on-site assignments in the Washington, DC metropolitan area and travel to Federal archives or other U.S. locations when required.
Compensation: Project-based compensation, estimated at $38–$50 per hour equivalent ($80,000–$105,000 annualized equivalent), depending on project scope, deliverables, location, and level of effort.
Required Qualifications:
• ALA-accredited MLS/MLIS in archival studies, library science, or a related field. A related master’s degree may be considered with at least 5 years of qualifying experience in archival processing, digitization, and large electronic-records projects.
• At least 3 years processing archival materials, including arrangement, description, preservation, cataloging, and finding-aid development.
• At least 3 years supporting digitization, electronic-records migration, metadata, or historical-material conversion projects.
• Experience with EAD and XML tools, such as Oxygen.
• At least 1 year supervising archivists, archival operations, or quality control.
• Ability to provide three finding aids and descriptions of relevant digitization projects for evaluation.
This is a contingent consulting opportunity, subject to BPA award and task-order funding. No minimum hours are guaranteed.
